Ibiza Town is the official capital of the island of Ibiza and has recently become popular with many whose main priorities are not Ibizas' beautiful beaches. The entire 'Old City' of Ibiza Town has been declared a national monument of historical interest. Within the old city are the Cathedral, various museums and some rather excellent shops and restaurants. On one of Ibiza's many fine days you can appreciate the views before descending through the myriad of cobbled passageways. Strolling towards the port area, you cannot fail to notice the many multicoloured boutiques displaying the sometimes unusual 'Ibiza Fashion' that has become famous throughout Europe.

On the opposite side of Ibiza Town's harbour is the modern marina where many of the rich and famous arrive on their luxury cruisers. The nearest beaches are Talamanca or Playa den Bossa. Playa den bossa is the longest sandy beach in Ibiza and is only about a 10 min bus ride away from Ibiza town .
